Hi Dyanne!
Just a quick note to let you know Rider is an AWESOME puppy!! We know you
already knew that though!
He's SOOO smart!! He learned his name in less than a week. He's nearly
housebroken! He hardly had any accidents in the house from day one! He's gone
for over a week sleeping through the night without any accidents! He
LOVES toys, and loves rides in
the truck! He really loves people and kids, and likes other dogs! He's got such
a great personality! He's very balanced! He like to be outside, but also likes
all his beds and blankets inside( he's got three beds!) He loves to play with
us,but is also good about playing with his toys independently! He thinks our 5
year old niece is the best! He already thinks he's a big dog, and tries to
chase off the herds of deer that come through our front yard! He's so funny! He
puffs out his chest and attempts the deepest bark he can muster! We're out
there, of course, with him, so that probably gives him the extra "courage." He
knows he's got "back-up"!!
We are just in love with him!!! He's perfect!! He's growing sooo fast! He's
already up to 13 lbs! He loves to eat!!! He's such a chow hound! Our vet said to
keep his bowl filled .He wasn't too worried about over feeding him right now.
You did such a great job socializing him, and doggy door training him! He's
just been so easy to work with! I gave him a bath on Saturday. He did terrific!
He's got a grooming appointment next Monday. I've trimmed around his eyes a
little bit, but that's it. I'll let the professional groomer work with him 2 or
3 times, and then I'll start doing him myself. The groomer has two Standards of
her own. She does a nice cut on them, very similar to what you have on your
dogs, and close to how I used to do Iko and Marley.
I hope you, John, Mom ,and all the Babies are well! We got our first snow of
the season today .Just a couple of inches on the grassy areas. It'll be cold
most of the week, but back in the 70's by the weekend. Of course Rider
loved the snow also !It's hard to believe he's only been with us for 2 weeks !It
feels as though we've known him forever!!
Hi Dyanne!
It was SOOO great meeting both you and John! We really appreciate you taking
the time with us Sunday morning! We LOVED seeing your place and meeting all your
wonderful dogs!!! They were all so beautiful!!!
Rider is perfect!!! He's doing so well!!! He did really well in the hotels,
and did amazingly well in the truck for the long ride home. It was good that we
split the drive home into two days with all the stops to potty that we made!! He
loves toys!! He's so funny!! He's all personality!! He's already learning so
fast! You did such a great job socializing him! He loves people, and definitely
thinks he's a "big dog" with other dogs! He seems to dig his new home, and has
already met the white Standard male, Jackson, next door! He was funny. He was
really tough with Jackson until Jackson got closer, then he was like "oh shit"!
They got along great once Rider figured out that Jackson just wanted to play!
Thanks again for everything!
We hope you and John had a great getaway!!!
Best Regards,

Dear Dyanne,
I just want you to know that the Macy/Rusty puppy (I named him “Andy”) I bought from you in July of 2008 is a wonderful dog—super intelligent, loving, sweet, and very handsome. No matter where we go people stop to admire Andy. Andy’s groomer, who is a show handler, says that he is very “correct.” At this point he’s 16 months old, is about 29” and weight about 70 lbs. He’s going in for his Lyme booster next week so I’ll get an updated weight on him.
I look at your
website all the time and wish I could keep adding Standard Poodles to my
household. Unfortunately, two dogs at a time is my quota, but I know
where to go if I’m ever in the market to get another Standard. Your
dogs do “rule.”
Sincerely,
Jennifer Politis

Note: Please feel free to put my letter on your website. Getting Andy was one of the best things I’ve done. Having gotten such a great Standard from you, I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the future.
